Throughout her early life, Diba often gazed at the celestial wonders that adorned the night sky in awe, fostering a deep fascination for space. This interest propelled her to immerse herself in scientific articles, eagerly devouring knowledge about the evolution of space technology.

Currently navigating her second year as an Engineering Science student, specializing in Machine Intelligence Engineering, Diba aspires to seamlessly integrate neural networks into the aerospace industry. Her focus involves crafting algorithms to streamline the processing of astronomical data and devising more intelligent probes and rovers.

Fueling her intellectual curiosity, Diba actively participates in clubs, such as contributing to the University of Toronto Aerospace Team's Optics department. She undertakes a wide range of design projects that cultivate a diverse skill set, excelling in the development of software, hardware, and CAD to create impactful physical prototypes.

Beyond academic pursuits, Diba plays a pivotal role in her community, serving as the Industry Mentorship Director for the Women in Science and Engineering UofT Chapter. In this position, she actively encourages gender-diverse youth to forge connections with industry leaders and bridge the gender gap in STEM.

Drawing from her past as a competitive badminton player and lifesaving swimmer, Diba maintains an active lifestyle as the captain of her institution's badminton engineering intramurals team. Fueled by her passion for travelling, she dedicates time to explore new destinations, with an ambitious goal of immersing herself in the cultures of every country worldwide.
