Kristen Di Loreto’s mission is to be the greatest craftswoman. Fascinated by a diverse range of trades, from ceramics and textiles to metalworking and woodworking, Kristen aspires to master them all. Her ultimate goal is to establish a workshop where she can both hone her skills and teach them to others. This passion for crafting led her to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering at McMaster University, seamlessly integrating her love for hands-on creation with her academic pursuits.

Kristen currently serves as the manufacturing specialist for the McMaster Interdisciplinary Satellite team, where she has garnered invaluable experiences across a spectrum of engineering projects. These range from designing structures to prototyping payloads and developing deployable mechanisms—feats that, not long ago, she never imagined she could accomplish.

From her amazing experience with her team, she is inspired to venture further into the aerospace industry, interested in finding new ways to practice her maker skills and apply her engineering knowledge.
