Since her early years, Tassneem Hamed has found solace and wonder in gazing up at the sky, captivated by the vast mysteries of our universe. This childhood curiosity fueled a relentless pursuit of knowledge about the cosmos, overcoming hurdles posed by a lack of representation in the space industry.

Tassneem's educational journey took her to the University of Western Ontario, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Astrophysics and Studio Art. Passionate about sharing her love for space, Tassneem took on leadership roles at the University of Western Ontario. As the Design Director for the Physics and Astronomy Student Association and the VP of Marketing for the Space Society of London, she played pivotal roles in fostering a sense of community and curiosity among her peers. More recently, at the Cronyn Observatory, Tassneem extends her outreach, educating the public about astronomy through exhibitions and engaging activities.

In her professional life, Tassneem thrives on problem-solving and science communication. As the Junior Designer for the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), she combines her artistic and scientific prowess to contribute to the future of space exploration, such as organizing events like hackathons. Her commitment to sharing the wonders of space extends beyond SGAC, as she serves as an Artist-Educator for The City of London, blending creativity and education.

Eager to make her mark in the space industry, Tassneem looks forward to the Zenith Canada Pathways Fellowship as a significant opportunity to further develop her skills and contribute to the dynamic landscape of space exploration.
